Nate’s Kitchen

This is a portrait of Nate, the head chef of the soup kitchen at the Church of the Advocate in North Philly. Nate cooks for nearly 150 people a day. But to him, his job means more than simply feeding people. This short documentary follows Nate preparing lunch, but it also delves deeper, exploring why he feels the need to do this job and how his past experiences helped drive him back to the church.
